Witton make the short trip to Cheshire rivals Warrington Town on Boxing Day in a BetVictor Northern Premier League fixture, looking to put together another winning run following two disappointing results in recent weeks. Warrington themselves are in the midst of a dip in form, having drawn two and lost one of their last three league games. Derby fixtures are more often than not eventful and competitive and hopefully this latest encounter will prove to be just as interesting. Town sit in the top four going into the game and will be hoping to close the gap on the teams above them whilst Albion have slipped to ninth with their last two results. The last defeat at home to Whitby Town although disappointing, hasn't caused too much damage as regards points due to to the fact that four of the teams above them also lost on that day and with another "Derby" ahead of them to start the new year, Witton will be looking to climb back up the table and put themselves in the mix again. Kick off at Cantilever Park is 3pm.

Looking forward to this one and hope we can bounce back to form ! Team wise I would go with

Renshaw
Baldwin, Anson, Wardle, Short
Mckenna, Goulding, Owens, Foley
Jones, Sambor

If we can cut out the mistakes amd take our chances we could get a result I suspect the mgr will leave foley out and play Lingouba in the middle but for Me its too light weight and it will be a right battle today. UTA
