Witton Albion have today (Friday), bolstered their squad ahead of the busy Christmas and New Year period with the addition of 30-year-old forward Danny Mitchley on loan from fellow BetVictor Northern Premier League side Radcliffe FC.
The front man began his career with Football League side Blackpool before dropping down into non-league football where he has made his name, scoring goals wherever he has been.
Mitchley has played for the likes of Mansfield Town, Altrincham and Marine, with whom he played under Albion boss Carl Macauley and from where he signed for Radcliffe last summer.
He has struggled to get a regular berth in the Radcliffe side so far this season, an unused substitute on Albion’s visit to the Neuven Stadium last weekend, although he did feature from the start in their Integro League Cup tie in midweek.
The forward links up with the squad immediately and will be available for selection as Witton take on Whitby Town at Wincham Park on Saturday afternoon, kick-off 3:00pm.
