TOPIC: What Witton should do next....

Re: What Witton should do next.... 7 years 2 months ago #46

I'm really not for this idea either but have to say that it wouldn't do any harm for the board and all wittoners to consider and debate this IF it would benefit the club long term (which i'm no convinced it would do). We do live in an ever more competitive world and with whats going on next door now would seem a good time to consider it. At least then the issue could be put to bed, for good.

I think it has already been "put to bed" on here.

I have been retired for 8 years now and I can confirm two things; You cannot work out how you found time to go to work and it is wonderful to be TOTALLY in charge of your life, with the wife's permission of course. Read me in the Our Town magazine.

You should remember jonnyamery that not many Wittoners are on here and that there may well be more interest in the idea than you think. We will never know unless we ask.

Absolutely ridiculous idea! The further we can distance ourselves from
Northwich and all the negative connotations the better!

Long live Witton Albion!

Spoke to a VERY senior figure a few nights ago and was told that the board had considered the name change some time ago and resolved that it is not in the clubs best interest to do this.

Fine, at least it has been considered, let's leave it at that.

And the Cardiff threw away years of tradition and changed their shirts from Blue to Red for marketing purposes!!

I would be happy to revisit this topic in return for the £100m of investment Cardiff have gained by their change.

No?

Let's drop it then please. Nobody is interested.

Bit bothered about that particular idea Ledley, "WC of WC Albion"? I know Northwich is a dump but naming ourselves the "S..t House of S..t House Albion" may be taking it too far!!! I promise I have now finished with this thread, unless Robbo would like another go at me of course?
