Current - Rob Hopley for his goals and work rate.

Past - Mick Kilduff just for being "Killer", deffo someone you wouldn't want to meet down a dark alley. Also Mark Edwards, probably the classiest striker I've seen for Albs he could score from anywhere.

Gards, because he gives everything, dedicated and I just like his all round style as a fullback, gets forward at every opportunity but rarely caught out of position it is really not easy to do week in week out.
Dave Carrick - shear ability on the ball and he made the fans smile and played with a smile on his face, I can still picture his smile now after scoring a brilliant overhead kick at the central ground, lovely to watch.

Current- Has to be Rob Hopley, all round ability both in the air or on the ground is excellent.
Past - Where do you start so many to choose from. If pushed I would choose two . Firstly Mark Fielding ,an absolute brilliant full back , very tough player who at Nantwich years ago scored an absolute screamer which as a young lad always stuck in the memory.
Secondly Andy Grimshaw, the complete midfielder, great workrate ,skillful, scored goals and knew how to tackle. My player of the season in the year we won the league.

Current player Tom Owens may not be the most skilful, but in terms of never give up attitude and 100 % effort,
past have to go for the reason why I fell in love with witton when my Dad brought us down for the first time and saw the skill and wizardry of Paddy Daly bowdown
I have no idea what I am doing. But incompetence has never prevented me from plunging in with enthusiasm."

Past - Dave Carrick, he could do practically anything with a football. I love players who excite and I also loved watching Joe Connor & Danny Andrews.

Current - Haven't seen many of the present team. Anthony Gardner determination & effort.

Question for Chad:

What was Tommy Smith's goal scoring record for the Albs?

I think he used to be on the front of the programme one season volleying the ball in mid air ( I may just have made that up!!)

past -- chris Nichol , peter mellor , first witton players that stood out when I was a nipper. Also recent past Rob Lloyd, brilliant ball player ran the midfield.
current - Gards , always gives 100% also Rob Hopley what witton have been missing in recent times
