Well we picked the weakest team we could and should still have won BUT, we were truly awful against a poor team! I know some fans don't care but the Cheshire Senior is probably the only thing we have a chance of winning! What it says to me is this Mgr is happy just to survive in our league and thats about it! What ambition!
The players who played don't deserve payment on that showing and as a Witton fan it feels embarrassing to be honest. What has happened to entertainment in our football club?
Staying in the division or winning a cup nobody cares about no contest for me. If the manager picked his strongest team last night and players get injured, then posts on here this morning would have been completely different. So he's damned if he does and damned if he doesn't.
As for ambition apart from 5 or 6 teams with money, every other club has the same ambition as Witton and that's to stay in the premier division & whilst not always pretty, Carl and Gary have managed that. Realistically, what are the fans ambitions CJ?
My ambition! To be entertained and it's really not happening? Just ask the Wittoners who have actually stopped coming to games and I mean good Wittoners. It's nonsense to say trying to win a cup will jeopardise the league, it's just an easy answer.
