What a massive game tonight. Like WHS I think its totally ludicrous that we are not up already and that we are in the playoffs with 99 points and a 100 goals scored. That counts for nothing tonight as the mentality of Rushden will be that they've got nothing to lose while we might be a bit nervous. I also hope we get a decent referee because if we get an idiot like we've seen this season it could go against us. Its up to us to make it Fortress Wincham Park by getting right behind our team vocally. One things for sure there will not be any lack of effort from the players and the football management lets hope we can do it for a 3rd time against what is a good Rushden team. Onward and Upward UTA!!

Really amazes me that after a great season like this and with the two most important games to come (we hope), that we are still arguing amongst ourselves over trivial issues. We make it look like our club is divided to the outside world when really the one thing should be that we are united and vociferous behind what is the best team we've had in years. I'll repeat the words I said to Prince Heywood and Mr Martindale. " As far as I'm concerned you are all players of the year with a special mention to those who sat on the bench more than they played. Footie is a squad game now and all the lads played a part in the success". For gods sake people stop arguing on here get behind the club and enjoy what are really good times to the outside world we look ridiculous when really the club is so good at the moment. We really need to vocally step it up tonight like we did at Shaw Lane to see these lads through. Onward and Upward UTA!!!

Got to confess that I did know about this a couple of weeks back but glad its now out in the open. Its absolutely brilliant news these two lads not only know what they are doing but I've had several conversations with them and they are always polite and happy to talk about footballing matters. Now that their futures are settled I hope we can get our players futures sorted as well. I would keep all these lads because there is not a better bunch of players anywhere but I guess some might feel they might want to move on. I do hope though that none of them will. Yes its always a temptation to go for more cash or a bigger club but we've seen this with a lot of players before. Witton Albion is a club that tries very hard to look after its players. Ok we can't pay mega bucks but a friendly warning to all our players you will not get the adulation, great crack, camaraderie, and people who do actually care about you at other clubs. I would point out as an example Alex Titchiner a lad who was brilliant for us but after he returned from Fleetwood he wasn't quite the same. I believe staying with Witton Albion and playing under Carl and Gary will improve you even more as players so stick around lads all us fans think your the bees knees!!

Absolutely brilliant from our lads. We could have been complacent but we ground down Vics and could have had 10 goals. I was disappointed that the linesman and ref did not give the 2nd half penalty that was so obvious even the Vics players thought it was one. Also some last ditch defending stopped us scoring more as the 2nd half was virtually a siege on their goal. I thought Will Jones when he came on was brilliant and two goals illustrate this but all the lads did a great shift as usual. Do I feel any sympathy for Vics? Not on your Nellie I've put up with their goading, overspending and corrupt regimes for 59 years as a Witton supporter and finally they are where they belong in the North West Counties along with that other self righteous bunch 1874 or whatever they are calling themselves this week. Onward and Upward for our honest club. Lets do our best to get up via the play offs, still a challenge, but anything is doable with our management team and players who are absolutely magnificent.

Mixed feelings this morning. I'm gutted at the result, we were beaten very narrowly by a team that's on a par with us but probably on far more money budget wise which says it all. I'm proud of our players and the way they stuck at it last night. We deserved a draw and with a bit more luck would have got it. The Williams shot hitting the post was only an inch away with their Goalie (who was Mr time water personified )stranded. Ok it looks like Shaw Lane will be champs but all our players including the lads who sit on the bench most of the time are all champs in my eyes. I do hope we now go on to win the remaining games as you never know in football what might happen. We need to dredge out two more weeks effort and energy from our weary lads to make sure we go up. I'm sure they'll rise to the occasion like they've done all season but I urge all Wittoners past and present to get down and support the lads over the remaining games. The support and noise last night was fantastic and we need to generate this for the remaining games to ensure we get promoted by whatever means. Its really annoying that both Shaw Lane and ourselves are so far ahead of all the other teams yet one of us might miss out due the play off lottery scenario Like everyone else I'm disgusted about the coach incident with witton massive and hope something can be resolved. I do hope that Witton Massive will still support us as I'm sure the club will isolate the culprit we don't need that kind of person supporting us anyway. Onward and upward UTA!!

Unfortunately we can't take our foot off the gas we need to keep going. I watched Carlton a couple of weeks back on our ground. They are a big side who lump it up the middle with little or no finesse. These teams are dangerous because if you don't focus they could get a result via a lucky rebound or a penalty or something like that . I think we should play a high line against then and stop them lumping the ball up the middle but I know our lads despite having to play so many games will be in there mixing it and will get the result we need. I really do hope we don't appear in the play offs they are something of a lottery. You only have to look at the Chester game earlier this season. You only need a bad referee and decisions can go against you on the day. I think the play offs are a complete nonsense how many times have we seen the 4th or 5th team go up at the expense of the 2nd or 3rd teams. You could make out a case if there were only 2 or 3 points separating the top 5 but this season Us and Shaw Lane are miles ahead of all the others and it would be a travesty if either one of us missed out but we won't with these lads!! Is it worth getting some camp beds set up in the club so the lads don't have to go home tonight? That's how ridiculous the crazy fixture list is this week!! Onward and Upward UTA!!
