second half option take Pritch and Mcallister off, bring Super Mike and Brodie on, then it'll be 0-7-4 you've got to admire the attacking intent here!!

According to the nonleague news website Albion's scorer was new signing Ronnie Morgan.

Full Time: KIDSGROVE ATHLETIC 0 WITTON ALBION 1.

Well done boys! A great three points and it puts us back in with a shout following Chasetown's home defeat to Belper tonight.

Just had it confirmed by Neil, it was Ronnie Morgan - his first goal for the club.

It is almost impossible to believe that despite already having lost 8 games in the league this season we could still win it!! A run of five or six undefeated and we would probably be top! See you on Saturday. (God willing).

An important 3 points, it was not pretty but we have to beat the clubs in positions above us.

I thought we battled well and effort levels were good. It could have easily been a couple of goals a piece, we missed a pen and they missed one clear opportunity from a header 10 minutes from the end.

In fairness to the manager he had to field probably the only team he could last night. The keeper was not fit to play but the reserve keeper has mumps! Lee Neville was away on holiday, Dylan Adams injured (?). Ruffer still suspended, Booth a long term injury and then to cap it all Maylett substituted with what looked a bad injury after about 20 minutes! Had to mitigate for any of that.

With Broadhead and Tandy in the back four it meant Pritch had a busy night, these two are too important to our midfield to be playing at the back but needs must and both at least put the effort in. Ryan's attitude has impressed me whenever he has played, you can forgive a player at this level for some failings but he more than compensates for this with total commitment.

We could not get any control in midfield (due largely to the formation) and both clubs appeared to bypass the midfield with longer balls into the forwards.

It certainly will not go down as a classic and we were hanging on for the final whistle but the result and the points are what matter, we needed a win and hopefully it will help turn the corner. There are 4 points separating the top 4 clubs!!! At this stage the league is anyones, nobody looks like they want to win it at the moment!!! Time to step up to the challenge.
