Huge game tomorrow, you may not have spotted it in the Guardian lol, this will surely tell us if we are title challengers or playoff hopefuls Shaw lane have invested heavily it seems and have a very good squad but if we are on form with a good 11 out then I think we can win it not sure if the doubtful Danny Roberts or Brown are going to be fit so suspect the team will be something like :

Crump
Gardner, Lycett, Wilson, Devine
Haywood, Williams, Owens, Bauress
Hopley Tames

You could argue for Tola in for Tames and from a positional view Haywood in the middle for the IMO off form Owens, whatever we go with I am sure our lads will put 100% in and We need to get behind them UTA.

Witton welcome league leaders Shaw Lane AFC to The NetDec Stadium on Tuesday evening in a massive Evo-Stik Division One South fixture. The Barnsley-based club have put a bit of daylight between themselves and the chasing pack following their 3-1 success over second placed Spalding United on Saturday. That result with Witton's draw with Lincoln United, means a nine point gap going into tonight's vital game. Witton's unbeaten home league record remains intact but it will surely be tested tonight by a team who have only tasted defeat once in the league this season, away at Stocksbridge Park Steels. Having said that, Witton have a habit of playing out of their skins when the odds appear to be stacked against them and the determination, spirit and character, has been there for all to see on numerous occasions already this season. Three points are very much needed from the fixture if they are to make a real fight of the title race and they are capable of achieving that if they are on top of their game. Shaw Lane are going very well but are not unbeatable and Witton are just the team who could upset them. It might take that one piece of magic or that little bit of luck but, who knows it might just happen. Kick off at The NetDec Stadium is 7.45pm.

A must win game for us if we are to push on to try to win the league, so let's get behind the team tomorrow night to get the 3 points. I am sure the players will be up for this and give their usual 110%. But they must play the ball to feet, as they were doing earlier in the season, and not hoofing it upfield and hoping for the best.UTA

Agree albion forever

Tonight is the big one, do or die been looking forward to this all season. If we win this then we are still in with a chance of winning the league.

Have we got a full team?

I don't mind us hoofing it up-field as long as it is in the general direction of one of our won players!! We can win but I am sad we will be without Brown. Do you think the match will be in the Guardian? (Only kidding.)

Hi Alan,

There were two previews on the Guardian website yesterday, one of which was shared via the Witton Facebook page.

Should not post when drunk.

One thing I've noticed is that our Match Previews tend to appear on the day of the game in midweek, Saturday's always appear on the Friday afternoon probably because of the office being closed at weekends. It does always appear though.

Okay, I must have missed it. The office in Northwich has been closed for some time which is a great shame. The only truly Northwich publication now is "Our Town" edited by John Buckley.
