didn't they start the season late last year and nearly fold?

When will clubs learn to live within their means, trying to be bigger than you can be always end in tears.

I have been retired for 8 years now and I can confirm two things; You cannot work out how you found time to go to work and it is wonderful to be TOTALLY in charge of your life, with the wife's permission of course. Read me in the Our Town magazine.

£14,500 seems trivial compared to the financial mess that some clubs get into.

So now there is a vacancy in one of the leagues? Perhaps Vics could take it, if they are still going!!

Only kidding about Vics! As they are in administration, so I am told, can they even play in the NW Counties league?

Talk of a takeover at Ilkeston but too late to save them from being thrown out of the NPL for breaches of rules.

As Derek says this means a reprieve for Goole AFC.

Rugby Town relegated to the Midland League & Burscough & NVFC to the North West Counties.

Ilkeston FC were wound up in the High Court on Monday morning, the second time in seven years that a football club bearing the town's name has gone out of business. It is unclear at this stage whether a new club will compete next season.

Why don't they just join a Sunday League like Vics and 1874 ought to do?
