Just a quick one to ask what sort of media content do you want coming from Witton's main social media channels? We are on the verge of having a third member of our Media Team and of course with extra staff means you can get through more work. Recently with Tyler Crouchman joining us as photographer (he's done a cracking job) we have been able to put his pictures from home and away games onto facebook, twitter and the website. But we want to do more to make our content look more professional and stand out to the rest.
The real question is, WHAT DO YOU WANT TO SEE! We have loads of ideas but what do you think
Is that you Neil Pickering (oddfellow)? That is something that we are looking into. Pre-match interviews would be uselsss if I'm honest because by the time we have put it out onto facebook/twitter/youtube etc. no one will have those things on because they will be inside the stadium. There is a way of doing it but I am yet to find out how.
Colin, I hope this isn't an argument against Simmo? He has given us a lot of attention recently and has been at 3 out of the 4 last Witton games inc. Alty on Monday. It is important that I build a good understanding with Andrew as it is my job to give him info of what is happening. That responsibility lies with me if for some reason the Northwich Guardian were giving us a unfair amount of coverage which currently they are. We should be thankful of his work and his attendance at matches. Anyhow, will I see you at Stalybridge Colin?
I have no personal axe to grind With Andrew Simpson, but one of the arguments put forward previously for better 1874 coverage was the lack of media input from Witton, so as you say in your role that should be great.
He might have been at 3 Witton games recently but 1874 have had no games to cover ! and we still did not get back page coverage even then.
