It certainly will be a worry if we get to far behind. It's ok saying we've got games in hand but if this becomes five or six games this would put a lot pressure on the team if we have to win all of them to stay in touch.
It certainly pays to have the points in the bag, as someone has previously mentioned we don't to be playing three games a week come March and April.

As a twenty year old I regularly played on a Saturday morning in the College league, in the afternoon in the Central Cheshire League and on a Sunday morning for Church Inn and I know dozens of lads who played Saturday and Sunday for years. Playing keeps you match fit better than any training session.
When you are young you NEVER get tired of playing. It was only when I had to work on a Saturday that I stopped playing on both days.
WHS..

I have been retired for 8 years now and I can confirm two things; You cannot work out how you found time to go to work and it is wonderful to be TOTALLY in charge of your life, with the wife's permission of course. Read me in the Our Town magazine.

If we are going for promotion which looks more and more likely then its essential we don't fall to far behind.
The pace and intensity at which this team play will have a massive effect on the energy levels of the players irrespective of how
young or fit they are.
Not only will it have a physical effect but it will mentally tiring as well.
If you play to many games in a short period the minor knocks players pick up do not get time to heal which ultimately
hinders performance..
No manager at any level would like to be playing three times a week and at semi pro level the added aspect of the players full time jobs is another factor
which has to be taken into consideration

Who said anything about playing three times a week? We are in two major cup competitions that is all and there is no guarantee we will be in either after Christmas. Winning can become a very nice habit. Win all you can and worry about fixtures later is what I say. Apart from anything else this cup run will boost league gates and I am sure the players would rather play than train.

AFC Rushden & Diamonds v Witton on 10th December is OFF, but we should still have a game.

If we beat Boston on Tuesday, we are at home to Chester in the next round. (V*cs v Belper moves to Sunday)

If Boston is postponed, we will try to play it on the Saturday at home. (V*cs v Belper moves to Sunday)

If we draw with Boston, we are away to them in the replay.

If we lose to Boston, we will travel to Basford in the league.

Should not post when drunk.
